A skilled bartender who has the ability to entertain clients in a creative and interesting way while at the same time mixing their drinks is said to be bartending with flair. Classed as a special art form or service, bartending with flair requires the ability to juggle items like cocktail shakers together with liquor bottles in a way that is highly entertaining to those that are watching. Additionally, the speed of service and drink quality is nothing short of spectacular.

A cold delicious island treat made with bourbon and dark rum. Even if you can’t get away to the beach this season, you can still enjoy this drink with your friends.

While at the beach, we ordered Pina Coladas that were weak to us. We happened to have a bottle of Crown Royal with us and decided to spice it up. We topped off the frozen drink with a heavy shot of Crown Royal and stirred. What a great drink!
We thought it may be that we were just drinking and everything tastes good then. However, we have made them again at home and ordered them in bars that way, and they have all have turned out great. So if the Pina Colada is good and you use a good mix, then this is one tasty drink. Try it! We call it the SOUTH HILL SLAMMER and some of the bars now call it the ROYAL PINA COLADA.
Don’t get it confused with a PINA COLADA ROYAL which is a Pina Colada made with vanilla ice cream.
While most people rely on the “thump” method when selecting a watermelon, the National Watermelon Promotion Board suggests there is a more reliable way to choose watermelons. Select a firm, symmetrical watermelon that is free of bruises, cuts and dents. Turn the melon over. If the underside is yellow, and the rind has an overall healthy sheen, the watermelon is probably ripe. Select melons that are heavy for their size. Watermelons are 92% water, which obviously accounts for most of their weight. A good rule of thumb is to buy the melon size that will satisfy your needs, so you don’t waste any.
