Green - it’s the color that reminds us to conserve and protect our precious natural resources. As such, it’s also the most popular color for cocktails especially designed for celebrating Earth day. With the special event commemorating our planet just a few days away, these two green-hued vodka masterpieces should make for a nice drink that serves as an impactful reminder.

The Greentini

Remember that green-faced comic book character turned into a movie starring Jim Carrey? I always picture a drink called the Greentini being sipped pleasurably by that character, The Mask. It wouldn’t be too far-fetched to imagine him taking to one of these.

To make a Greentini, simply put together two ounces of vodka and 1.5 ounces of Midori melon liqueur into a shaker. Work it well and strain into a martini glass. To put an even greener finish to the concoction, garnish it with a wedge of lime.

Planetary Punch

Originally created by 360 Vodka as their Earth Day special, this drink is a feast for both the eyes and the palate. There’s quite a bit of ingredients for the Planetary Punch so make sure you get them ready before putting the drink together. You’ll need 1.25 ounces of vodka, three-quarters ounce of melon liquer, half-an-ounce of peach puree, an ounce of orange juice and an ounce of pineapple juice. Put all the ingredients in a shaker with ice, strain into a martini glass and add a maraschino cherry for garnish.
